Walk A Mile in Her Shoes

So Jordan has been volunteering as a rape crisis response volunteer where he is given a phone for 48 hrs and if someone needs help he is there asap to give them information of the process of what the hospital and legal procedures are for these very unfortunate circumstances.  He had to go through several hours of training to be able to do this and I am glad that my husband is so eager to help those who are in need.  I was actually amazed to find out that rape is the only violent crime in Utah County which is above the national average!

Once a year, this rape crisis team gets together and does a mile walk where the men where outrageous high hills!  I wouldn't even try to walk in some of those high heels.  Here are some of the pictures from the event to help gain awareness in the community. You can find the story in the Daily Herald Newspaper, check it out, they even have a picture of Jordan walking, at http://heraldextra.com/news/local/article_5d6280ed-70a3-5707-ae9a-89482a90a6f8.html

Let me remind you these are all boys .... don't you love the red toe nails!

There's Jordan upfront and center of one of the groups

And here he is after the mile walk!  Gosh his feet must be sore!!

Now a close-up of Jordan's shoes...aren't they so pretty.  I can't believe they make these shoes in size 12.  I'll be honest I have never worn a hill that thin in my life, I don't even know how he was able to balance himself!

38 Weeks Picture

Hello Everyone!

So here is a picture that was taken when I was 38 wks along.  Now I am 39 wks with only 7 more days to go!  I can't believe how fast it has gone.  Jordan and I are both extremely excited.  Everything is going exceptionally well with the pregnancy and now we are just waiting for her.  I must say I have enjoyed being pregnant, even with all it's discomforts, it's just a new experience having a little being inside you moving around.  Of course, I can't wait to finally see her though and finally be able to bend over again, lol.

Hope everyone else is doing well!  We love you all!  We will certainly let you know when Ariana has arrived.

35 Weeks and Baby Shower

So here is the update picture of 35 weeks!  And look it's on the exact day finally, lol.

This last Saturday my sister Rachel threw me a baby shower which went very well.  We all got pampered with hand lotions, face washes, and Rachel even got a professional nail stylist to come and paint some of the girls fingernails!  Needless to say we had a ton of fun out in the sun.

Yummy Food!!

Mikelle, my cousin getting her nails painted by Niki the nail stylist

Getting a nice refreshing mask.  My skin was so soft after I took it off!

The diaper drawing! Winners: Aunt Carol, Aunt Jeanne, and Ashley Berg

The host, my sister Rachel.  Thanks so much for all your hard work!  We had a blast.

And don't forget Baba, the wonderful photographer!  Thanks Mom!

30 Weeks Picture

So I know I haven't been keeping up on my blogging.  I can't believe it's already been about 10 weeks since I updated my blog.  Time has swept by me so fast, especially being in school.  Luckily I can say finals are OVER!!  Of course right after finals I got awfully sick which really kind of ruined the feeling of being free for a little while, but I am getting better now and I can't wait to get started on all the projects that I have had to put aside in order to do homework.

I know it's a little overdue, but here is a picture of what I looked like at 30 weeks.  I am now 33 weeks, but I figure you would still like to see what I looked like three weeks ago before finals came about.  I'll tell you this, there is no question in peoples minds now that I am pregnant.

Also, we are definitely enjoying getting ready for Ariana's arrival.   Jordan and I got this amazing swing from Babies R' Us!  I saw it and absolutely fell in love with it and it kept amazing me at what it could do.  First of all, I just love the giraffe!  Next the seat is able to be taken out from the base and repositioned in four different directions so there are four different motions the baby can be swung with.  Also, our car seat fits into the base so if the baby falls asleep in the car we have a place to put the baby, which I thought was pretty cool.  Also, the seat has two levels of buzzing  and can be taken out to be use like a bumper.  Then with the electronics, it has music!  Tons and tons of music including white noise and heart beat sounds.  We can even connect our ipod to it to play songs we think she would like instead!  Now how awesome is that??  Yeah, so I must say this is one thing that I really hope Ariana enjoys because mom sure does, lol.  Here are some pictures of Jordan putting it together and completed!
